Deb Milimaka Miles, Chair of the CEO Advisory Board at TEC Canada, has been awarded the prestigious Global 100 award for Outstanding Leadership in Professional Training & Coaching. This recognition celebrates her extensive contributions and exemplary leadership in the field.

With over 25 years of experience in high-level corporate roles, Deb has built a remarkable career across diverse sectors, including Financial, Retail, Technology, and Cannabis. Her vast expertise spans Strategy, Sales, Operations Management, Marketing, Investor Relations, Communications, Human Resources, Labor Relations, Organizational Change, Executive Development, Training, Public Relations, Community Investment, and International Facilities Management.

Deb also leads her own Global Fractional CHRO business at Milimaka Miles Management Consultants Inc. She is renowned for her agility, creativity, resourcefulness, decisive leadership, and ability to drive results.

Deb's career highlights include taking direct accountability for Leading Transformation in one of the world’s largest SAP implementation projects, managing the entire Organizational Change Team to support this large-scale transformation. Her work has involved direct interaction with Boards, Special Committees, and holding various executive positions such as CAO, COO, CTO, and Interim GM of Sales. As a Chief People Officer at a dynamic technology company, she led global Human Resources across 16 countries.

Her expertise also includes leading & advising start-ups, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures, along with executing numerous international restructuring strategies. Deb has successfully built separate business lines to produce profitable revenue streams and has set up foundational financial processes and IT infrastructures during significant divestiture and start-up phases while maintaining executive roles at parent companies. Managing through complexity is one of her key strengths.

Deb’s professional journey has seen her contribute to both small and large organizations, with notable names including Harvest One Inc., SMART Technologies, Aguila Convergence Worldwide, Foxconn, Loblaws, The Odella Group, Future Shop, Hudson’s Bay, National Trust, Scotiabank, and Bank of Montreal. Her hands-on approach in guiding corporations through periods of global transformation and adaptation to ever-changing environments is highly regarded.

Deb’s career has consistently focused on driving transformational change in business cultures through innovative and effective strategic planning and leadership. She is known for building dynamic cross functional partnerships within businesses, serving as an agent of change. Her work with CEO’s at TEC Canada continues to elevate leadership standards, helping executives navigate the complexities of today’s economy and fostering growth and development.

In addition to her corporate achievements, Deb is a Certified Trained Facilitator in The Leadership Challenge® and The Five Behaviours® Program. She is a Certified LPI® Coach, a Certified Resilience Practioner and holds 8 other industry certifications as well as a Specialist Designation in Financial Services. Her educational background includes studies in Business/Commerce at the University of Alberta and Concordia University. Her dedication to supporting women in leadership earned her the Women of Inspiration™ Award in 2019, recognizing her as a true pathfinder who inspires and motivates others.
